Shortcut for Shutdown

Are you tired of clicking start and then shutdown to turn off your PC? If yes, then this tutorial is made for you. Try the following:

1. Right click on Desktop, select New & then Shortcut.

2. A wizard opens up & asks for the location of the item. Type shutdown -s(give space between shutdown & -s) & then click Next.

3. Name the shortcut Shutdown & click Finish.

4. When you double click on this shortcut, Windows will count off 30 seconds & then turn off.

5. To abort the process, create another shortcut on Desktop.

6. Right click on Desktop, select New & then Shortcut.

7. A wizard opens up & asks for the location of the item. Type shutdown -a(give space between shutdown & -a) & then click Next.

8. Name the shortcut Abort Shutdown & click Finish.

9. If you accidentally click Shutdown, double click on Abort Shutdown within 30 seconds and the process will stop.
